Review: I'm so happy with these shoes! I bought them for the purpose of social dancing (salsa, bachata, etc.) outdoors in the summer on pavement. The sole of the shoe is a regular hard sole like you'd expect to find on any regular dress shoe. The buckle is "easy release" style---like formal/proper dance shoes---which is a time-saving treat! (Please see my second photo for an up-close look at the "easy release" buckle). They're very comfortable and the 3.5" heel is perfect for dancing. Highly recommend!
