Review: I received the blue colour (could not choose colour). It's not light, so bear that in mind when carrying around. It does look like a pen. You pull out the bottom and the blades are held together by a tiny plastic piece. When the plastic piece is pulled off, the blades snap open. This is a bit dangerous because the spring mechanism that snaps them open is quite powerful, and the outer blade edges are quite sharp, so you could cut yourself. The scissors itself is sharp and cuts paper fine; not sure about other materials. It might not fare as well cutting thicker stuff like packaging or plastic.
